Affiliated with the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre (S2BMRC) at Münster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) in Germany, Balzhan Orazbayeva researches university-business collaboration and social innovation. She is a consultant in the project for the European Commission (DG Education and Culture), implementing the largest European study in the area of university-business collaboration. Balzhan leads creative research process in the EC project in the field of social innovation. She is the capacity building designer and researcher for the Erasmus Plus project, aiming to establish a long lasting Knowledge Alliance between academy and industry and to produce an educational toolkit for trainers to raise strategic e-Leadership skills.

Prof. Dr. Thorsten Kliewe
Prof. Dr. Thorsten Kliewe is an international expert on the topics of entrepreneurial and engaged universities, innovation and higher education management. Bridging academia and practice himself, he is passionate about creating economic and social impact by fostering interaction between science and business. He is a Full Professor for Innovation Management and Business Development at Münster Business School at Münster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) in Germany and Deputy Director of the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre (S2BMRC, www.science-marketing.com) at MUAS. Next to his positions in academia, Professor Kliewe is Co-founder, Chairman and CEO of the University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN, www.uiin.org), an Amsterdam-headquartered Network with more than 200 members from 25+ countries. He is also the founder and Chair of the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU, www.aceeu.org).
As a graduate of the Münster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) and currently as a master student (Management Programme) at Witten/Herdecke University, David Makrucki joined the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre (S2BMRC) in 2017 as a graduate research assistant. He is also an active member of the Venture Club Münster, young and ambitious student founders’ initiative, and currently a member of the board and responsible for Operations Management. Within this position, he organises events of different scales, ranging from 20 to 200 participants. At S2BMRC, he operatively supports the implementation of Erasmus Plus projects.
